Unlimited Liability Companies

An unlimited liability company (ULC) is a tax planning vehicle used by US-based individuals and companies that have Canadian sources of income. The recent Fifth Protocol to the United States - Canada Income Tax Treaty has had a strong impact on the uses of ULCs in tax planning. If you would like to incorporate a ULC, or have a ULC and would like to find out more about recent changes, please contact one of the Business Law Team Members.
