Our self-regulating team consists of: KATHRYN A. RAYMOND, JOHN A. YOUNG, Q.C..
The BOYNECLARKE Self-Regulating Professions Team has acted for a number of self-regulating professions including engineers, surveyors, and a variety of medical and associated health professions over the past decade. We are also actively involved in matters concerning our own Bar Society. We advise and act on behalf of these professions with regard to corporate governance, professional standards, discipline, and aspects of the law that affect these professions.

We also act for individuals regarding members’ rights, professional privileges, and disciplinary matters.

In addition, we participate in the drafting of legislation that affects the self-regulating professions, such as the Medical Act, QE II Health Services Centre Act, and similar legislation and regulations.

The Self-Regulating Professions Team anticipates public policy issues and changing standards (for example, in professional conduct and accountability) that are likely to affect these organizations and their members. We then provide advice in order to assist them in meeting these challenges.
