Kelly received a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Biology & Chemistry, from Acadia University in 1998, a Bachelor of Education from the University of Ottawa in 2000, and her LL.B. from the University of New Brunswick in 2007. She was admitted to the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society in June 2008. Kelly is an associate and practices with the firm’s Business Litigation Team. With four years of teaching experience, Kelly was awarded a Teaching Excellence Award in 2001. Kelly is a member of the Metropolitan Senior Women's Soccer League.
