Rob was born in Simcoe, Ontario. He received his B.Sc.H. from Queen’s University in 2002 and his LL.B. from the Dalhousie University Law School in 2005 with Certificates of Specialization in Environmental Law and Business Law. Rob was admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2006. In 2009 Rob completed Part II of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants’ In-Depth Tax Course.

Rob is an associate and practices in the areas of Taxation, Business Law, Contracts and Trusts, and Environmental Law. He focuses his practice on personal and corporate taxation, legal and tax issues surrounding trusts, incorporations and reorganizations, the legal needs of charities and non-profit organizations, and management of environmental liability.

Rob lectures frequently on various topics within his practice areas and he is a Sessional Instructor at Dalhousie University. In 2011 Rob will be teaching a course about business organizations at the Schulich School of Law for the second time. In 2008 and 2009 he taught an introductory law and policy course to graduate students in the Faculty of Management.

Rob is a director of the East Coast Environmental Law Association, and a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Canadian Bar Association.
