Born Edmundston, New Brunswick, Richey received his Bachelor of Arts in 1971 and his LL.B. in 1974, both from Dalhousie University. He was admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1975.

Richey is a Partner and practices in the area of Real Estate Law. He is also Chair of the firm’s Property Team.

Richey is a Founding Member and Director of the Nova Scotia Association of Real Estate Lawyers. He was a Director and is now a Member of the Nova Scotia Real Estate Association, and he has held positions on numerous Boards and Directorships of Real Estate related organizations.
