Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Valerie was admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1983. She receieved her Bachelor of Arts from St. Mary's University in 1979 and her LL.B. from Dalhousie Universityin 1982.
Valerie is a Member of the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society (Non-practising status) and International Paralegal Management Association.
Valerie enjoys strength training and reading.
