Rob was born in Simcoe, Ontario. He received his B.Sc.H. from Queen’s University in 2002 and his LL.B. from the Dalhousie University Law School in 2005 with Certificates of Specialization in Business Law and Environmental Law. Rob was admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2006, and furthered his accreditation in 2011 when he completed Part III of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants’ In-Depth Tax Course.
Rob is a Partner and practices in the areas of Taxation, Business Law and Environmental Law. He regularly deals with personal and corporate taxation, incorporations and reorganizations, legal and tax issues surrounding trusts, legal needs of charities and non-profit organizations, and management of environmental liability.
Rob lectures frequently on various topics within his practice areas. Since January 2010 he has been part-time faculty with the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University, teaching courses about business organizations and environmental law. In 2008 and 2009 he taught a graduate course in Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Management.
Rob is a director of the East Coast Environmental Law Association, and a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Canadian Bar Association.
