Born in Truro, Nova Scotia, Robert earned his Bachelor of Arts, Education and Masters of Education from Dalhousie Univeristy between (1977 – 1980). He obtained his LL.B. from the Unviersity of New Brunswick in 1984. Robert was admitted to Bar in 1985. He has also completed Level 1 at the Arbitration and Mediation Institue and aquired his ISAF Certification for Offshore Survival.

Robert is a Partner and member of the Personal Injury Team. His practice includes appearances before all levels of Court in Nova Scotia including Nova Scotia Supreme Court, Trial Division and Appeal Division, Federal Court, New Brunswick Court of Queens Bench, as well as numerous tribunals and boards.

Active in the community, Robert has contributed to Nova Scotia “Dial-A-Law” Public Legal Education Project and is the author of legal information articles for the Truro Daily News.
