MATTHEW W. NAPIER, Q.C. received his Bachelor of Arts (1977) and his Bachelor of Education (1979) from Saint Mary’s University. He received his Bachelor of Science (1976) and his LL.B. (1982) from Dalhousie University. Matt was admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1982 and was appointed to Queen’s Counsel in December 2008.
Matt is a Partner and leads the largest legal team in Atlantic Canada practicing exclusively in the area of Personal Injury Law. Over the past 25 years, he has handled one of the largest volumes of Plaintiff Personal Injury cases in Nova Scotia. “Helping While You Heal” is the team’s mantra, the focus of the team being to do the best they can for those who have been injured. For years Matt has been an active Board member with the Brain Injury Association of Nova Scotia and continues as their legal adviser. Matt is actively involved with the Canadian Paraplegic Association of Nova Scotia, especially advising on legal issues. He has been extensively involved with his Church’s Parish Council. Matt is an avid golfer and runner, and he enjoys playing tennis and skiing.
