Boyne Clarke is pleased to introduce our 5 articled clerks who joined us on June 1, 2010: Lydia Billingsley, Ian Brown, Christine Gould, Ian Sinclair, and Tracy Smith. They join Matthew Conrad who started his articles with us in February 2010.
We are also very proud to announce that the following 5 law students have accepted 2011 articling positions with us: Jessica Chapman, Edward Comeau, Margaret George, Daniel Hawkwood, and Sean McCarroll.
The decision you make as to where you will article could be the most important decision of your legal career. Articling serves many purposes. For those of you who now know that you are committed to the practice of law, it will give you your first experience with the practical application of academic legal skills. For those of you who are less certain about your future, articling will allow you a unique opportunity to determine whether or not private law practice is where your professional destiny lies.
On a practical note, most law firms draw all of their associates and future partners from the ranks of their articled clerks. With that in mind, many students look upon their articling experience as the commencement of a lifetime commitment to the practice of law with a particular firm.
